March 1, 2011 Board Meeting Agenda Item #29 Title APPROVAL OF CHILLER PACKAGE BID FOR THE LAUREL NOKOMIS SCHOOL AND SARASOTA MIDDLE SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECTS Description There are five (5) acceptable manufacturers of chillers approved for installation in this School District.  All five (5) manufacturers were invited to bid.  Funds for these two projects are available in the capital projects account.  The direct purchase of this equipment will save $27,566.00 in sales tax and will facilitate early delivery of the equipment to meet the construction schedule. Recommendation That the bid submitted by Carroll Air Systems, Inc. for the chiller package for the Laurel Nokomis School and Sarasota Middle School Renovation projects, in the amount of $458,600.00, be approved as presented.
